About the C-17 Globemaster III
The C-17 is a strategic airlift built by McDonnell Douglas / Boeing. It first flew in 1991, about 279 have been built, and it is in service. On Tail Cards that makes it Uncommon.
What goes on your C-17 card
The front carries your callsign in big type with the C-17 Globemaster III, your branch, and your own photo. The back lists your name and rank, crew position, unit, flight hours, hours in type, and wings year, then the airframe's role, maker, first flight, crew, and engines (4 x F117), plus a holographic authentication seal.
Figures are approximate public numbers. Cards never show performance figures like speed or altitude, use our own design rather than official insignia, and are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department of Defense, any military service, or McDonnell Douglas / Boeing.
