About the SR-71 Blackbird
The SR-71 is a strategic reconnaissance built by Lockheed. It first flew in 1964, about 32 have been built, and it is retired from US service. On Tail Cards that makes it Ultra Rare.
What goes on your SR-71 card
The front carries your callsign in big type with the SR-71 Blackbird, your branch, and your own photo. The back lists your name and rank, crew position, unit, flight hours, hours in type, and wings year, then the airframe's role, maker, first flight, crew, and engines (2 x J58), plus a holographic authentication seal.
Figures are approximate public numbers. Cards never show performance figures like speed or altitude, use our own design rather than official insignia, and are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department of Defense, any military service, or Lockheed.
